Before Fortitude Valley became polished, there was Transformers. A late-80s rite of passage tucked inside a former Charlotte Street electricity sub-station, complete with wickedly steep stairs, cheap spirits and zero dignity by midnight.

Dentist chair at the bar. Plane in the ceiling. 80s bangers pumping. Hunters & Collectors one night, The Angels the next.

A proper pash-and-dash venue most people swear they “never went to” - but absolutely did.
