Before the small bars. Before the velvet ropes. Before the corporate rebrands.

The Sydney Trade Union Club was built in 1947 as a working-class palace - funded by unions, run for workers, and loud as hell on a Saturday night. The Hotel, Club and Restaurant Union and the Federated Ironworkers didn’t just build a venue - they built a social hub. A place to dance, drink, argue politics, host May Day rallies, and see proper live bands without pretending you were upper class.

It wasn’t trendy. It wasn’t curated. It was packed.

Concerts. Dancing. Dining upstairs. Smoke in the air. Beer in schooner glasses. Bands cranking through the 80s and 90s while union banners still hung somewhere in the background.

Working-class leisure, no apology.

They called it the People’s Palace for a reason.

Nothing polished. Nothing ironic.
Just music, solidarity, and a floor that shook when the crowd jumped.

Printed just for you. Every order is printed to order in Brisbane, usually within 1-3 business days.

Once your order has been printed and dispatched:

Standard shipping: usually 4–8 business days
Express shipping: usually 3–6 business days
Free standard shipping on orders over $100

Top End customers: If you're in the NT and in a hurry (an unusual combination), we recommend choosing Express Shipping. Standard parcels from Brisbane tend to take the scenic route via Adelaide before eventually heading north. Express shipping usually takes the red-eye directly instead.

Because each item is printed to order, we can’t usually exchange items ordered in the wrong size. Please check the size guide before ordering. Annoying, but also fairly sensible.
