Opened in 1986 inside the Homestead Hotel at 114 Zillmere Road, Boondall, Stratus was pure Brisbane 80s nightlife. Three big dance floors. Big hair. Bigger sound. Pop, new wave, rock and dance in the main arena. Funk, disco and groove in the Blue Room.

It wasn’t just a pub. It was where you went to dress up, sweat it out and disappear under coloured lights until 2am.

For a generation northside, Stratus wasn’t a venue - it was the weekend.
