Skateworld rolled into Nightcliff in ’79, and for a couple of decades it was the beating heart of Darwin youth culture. Every kid in town ended up there sooner or later—birthday parties, awkward first dates, stacks that left an infected tropical sore for weeks.

By the time the The Hop kicked off, it was peak cool. Fluoro lights, RnB pumping, and the faint whiff of Lynx Africa and hot chips in the air. If you thought you were somebody, you were at The Hop, pretending your speed skates were actually smooth.

Skateworld finally shut its doors in 2006, but for anyone who grew up there, it’s less a building and more a memory: a mix of chaos, freedom, and the occasional spectacular stack.

Design features all skill/chaos levels - regular, speed, and deadly (Apple Kart).

Printed just for you. Every order is printed to order in Brisbane, usually within 1-3 business days.

Once your order has been printed and dispatched:

Standard shipping: usually 4–8 business days
Express shipping: usually 3–6 business days
Free standard shipping on orders over $100

Top End customers: If you're in the NT and in a hurry (an unusual combination), we recommend choosing Express Shipping. Standard parcels from Brisbane tend to take the scenic route via Adelaide before eventually heading north. Express shipping usually takes the red-eye directly instead.

Because each item is printed to order, we can’t usually exchange items ordered in the wrong size. Please check the size guide before ordering. Annoying, but also fairly sensible.
