Before it was The Arena. Before the Valley went vertical. There was The Roxy.

210 Brunswick Street. Brick walls, dark corners, 800 bodies packed in shoulder to shoulder. The kind of place where you saw Radiohead before they were Radiohead. Powderfinger before they were on the radio. Soundgarden, New Order, Faithless, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys. Sweat on the ceiling. Ears ringing for three days.

It started in the 80s as The Roxy. Rebranded to The Arena in ’98. Same bones, bigger nights. For a decade or two it was Brisbane’s alternative heartbeat.

Demolished in 2022. Apartments now. Of course.

The sign’s gone. The building’s gone.
The stories aren’t.

Sizing

Each one’s printed just for you, so double-check your fit before ordering. Width is measured armpit-to-armpit. Please allow 1–2cm human measurement errors.
