The story behind it
The Galah and the Drongo. Two perfectly respectable Aussie birds who copped a bum deal in the dictionary of insults.
It wasn’t enough that Alf Stewart made a career out of “Ya flamin’ galah!” or “Ya drongo!” — usually right after reminding everyone he “didn’t come down in the last shower.” Generations of Australians have slung their names around like they’re punchlines... but times they are a-changing, and young people today inherently understand the names of these two amazing creatures are not slurs to be bandied about.
So here they are, perched together, standing up for themselves. This shirt is their campaign poster. Buy one and show the world you support these birds in their fight for dignity. Or at least give them a fair go.

Printed just for you. Every order is printed to order in Brisbane, usually within 1-3 business days.
Once your order has been printed and dispatched:
- Standard shipping: usually 4–8 business days
- Express shipping: usually 3–6 business days
- Free standard shipping on orders over $100
Top End customers: If you're in the NT and in a hurry (an unusual combination), we recommend choosing Express Shipping. Standard parcels from Brisbane tend to take the scenic route via Adelaide before eventually heading north. Express shipping usually takes the red-eye directly instead.
Because each item is printed to order, we can’t usually exchange items ordered in the wrong size. Please check the size guide before ordering. Annoying, but also fairly sensible.
If your item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, get in touch and we’ll sort it out.
